Abstract
It is established that the competitiveness of the domestic agrarian sector is influenced by market, state and non-state regulation. In this context, the necessity for mutually beneficial cooperation between state authorities, nongovernmental and non-governmental organizations and the agricultural enterprises themselves is emphasized. The tendencies of development of the agricultural insurance market in Ukraine and the scheme of its activation as one of the most important and unregulated directions of ensuring the competitiveness of the agricultural sector of the economy are determined.
