Biography

    Born on 15 February 1960 in Kazakhstan. Citizen of Ukraine.

    Education:
    In 1982, she graduated from the Faculty of Agrochemistry and Soil Science of the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy with a degree in Agrochemistry and Soil Science. In 1985, she graduated from the Faculty of Education of the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy with a degree in Agronomy. In 1988-1991, she studied at the postgraduate course of the Institute of Agriculture of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. She defended her dissertation for the title of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences in Plant Industry in 1991. In 1997-2000, she studied at the doctoral programme of the Institute of Agriculture of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. She defended her dissertation for the title of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences in Plant Science in 2001. 

    Scientific, educational and methodological activities:
    In the Institute of Agriculture of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences in 1991-2002, she worked her way up from Junior to Chief Researcher. At the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine since 1997 as an Associate Professor of Crop Production; since September 2002 – Professor, since December 2002 – Head of the Department of Crop Production; 2004-2006 – Head of the Department of Crop Production and Feed Production; 2006-2009 – Director of the Research Institute of Agricultural Technologies and Quality of Crop Production; since 2009 – Head of the Department of Crop Production. In 2007, she was elected a corresponding member of the UAAS, Department of Plant Industry, and in October 2020, she was elected an academician of the NAAS of Ukraine, Department of Plant Industry.

    Head of international and national research topics that have been and are being implemented at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. She participates in international congresses, conferences, symposia, in particular: 

    • 1st International Wheat Congress (2019), Saskatchewan, Canada;
    • International competition "Technologies of winter wheat cultivation", 2018;
    • International Workshop "Crop Production" Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (2018), Bernburg, Germany;
    • Biosystems Engsneering (2020), Tartu, Estonia;
    • 9th International Triticale Simposium (2017), Szeged, Hungary. 

    Participant in international exhibitions and competitions, in particular, in the 2017/2018 growing season, she was one of the three winners of the International Winter Wheat Growing Technologies Competition within DLG Germany. Chairman of the Specialised Academic Council for the Defence of Dissertations: more than 510 publications, including 43 monographs, 14 patents, 20 DSTU/ISO, DSTU, SOU; 22 textbooks and manuals, more than 300 articles in scientific journals, more than 70 scientific and methodological publications and typical curricula. Internship at: University of Applied Sciences Anhalt, Germany, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2022; University of Saskatchewan, Canada, 2019; Czech University of Life Sciences, Czech Republic, 2016; Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland, 2014; University of Life Sciences, Austria, 2013.

    For scientific achievements, implementation of scientific developments in production, meaningful organisation of the educational process, training of highly qualified specialists, she was awarded the honorary title "Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine", the badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine "Excellence in Education", and the award "Excellence in Agricultural Education" of the second degree, "Badge of Honour of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy", the jubilee medal "100 years of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine", the honorary badge "For a significant contribution to the development of education" of the NMC of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, and was awarded diplomas, certificates and gratitude from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine and the mayor of Kyiv.
